Friday Favorites

Happiiessstt Friday!!!!

TGIF! Hope you have had a great week. I'm especially excited because I'm celebrating my big 3-0 this weekend... and we're a day closer to having the girls back home :)  One of my best gals and I actually share a birthday and since I'm doing a spa weekend with my mom and sisters and she will be out of town- we'll just have to party twice and celebrate again next weekend :)

Anywho, as usual, I'm linking up with Erika, Narci and Andrea- but today, I'm sharing just one favorite...
This week, my Friday favorite is this fun collaboration with Gymboree + Janie and Jack for their Presidents Day sale! I am just so excited about this!!!

This post is sponsored by ShareASale on behalf of Gymboree and Janie and Jack, however, all opinions and thoughts expressed are my own.
I've been a loyal, longtime fan of these stores since Sophia was born. (I'm fairly certain my sisters and I wore our very fair share of Gymboree clothing as well... must mean I get my great taste in kids clothes from my Mama ;))

And for a limited time, many items are up to 80% off at Gymboree and up to 60% at Janie and Jack!!! The only thing better than a sale... is a sale on sale... :)

Gymboree has the cutest, most versatile clothes at great price points, and if you've ever walked into a Janie and Jack store, you know exactly what I'm talking about...

... timeless, classic, beautifully crafted quality clothes for kids. The photos above were taken three years ago and Sophia's Janie and Jack dress is still one of my all time favorites.

When the opportunity to collaborate presented itself,  I called Sophia's step mama on a moments notice and kindly asked if Sophia and her brothers would be available to play dress up to show off a mix and match of clothes from both Gymboree and Janie and Jack.  Because what better way to show off a mix of sweet kids clothes than our blended little family of sweet kiddos :)

A VERY special thanks to these kids beloved Aunt CoCo for her assistance and for capturing these images...
The girls are modeling outfits from Gymboree's Wildflower Weekend Collection. I'll get to the boys outfit details below :)
All sunglasses from Janie and Jack.

Sidenote: I llloooooveee how both Gymboree and Janie and Jack's websites are organized into collections. Makes for easy peasy shopping- especially when shopping for multiples. It's like taking all the guesswork out of family photos, matching kiddos, etc. Love it.

Sophia's top pick from the Wildflower Weekend collection: the comfy bluebird sweatshirt. :)

Kellens plaid button down (on the left, and under $20) and Walker's gingham on the right. (Also under $20!) Jeans can be found from Gymboree here.

It's such a shame this kid has zero personality...

.... I'm uploading these photos thinking.. wouldn't those button downs would make for the cutest Easter outfits!! ;)

Gymboree Sale On Now!

Shop the sales online at Gymboree here and Janie and Jack here. :)

I love these photos, and not just because the sweetest, coolest, cutest kids around are modeling the sweetest, coolest, cutest outfits but because of what these photos represent.

In case you're new here, I'll give a quick run down: Jinger is my stepdaughter, Sophia is mine, and the boys are Sophia's half brothers who belong to Sophia's dad and stepmom. (I also have a stepdaughter, Jorgia, who is not pictured due to her being in school). My family is blended but we don't like to use labels such as "half" or "step" at home. There's a whole lot of love happening here and I cherish moments like these. Because I'm speaking from the heart when I say that my past years of struggle and deep despair have been met with divine grace and redemption. One day, I'll be brave enough to share painful details of my past, but for now, those words are safely tucked away in my journal.  And because that's not what this post is. Because today, I'm celebrating where we have come in this journey and the JOY that we can all experience. Because making peace with your past is so necessary to move forward toward a future full of hope. Because the work we put in to co parent these children is paying off and hopefully offers a glimmer of encouragement to all parents struggling to peacefully co parent. Co parenting is messy and tough and emotionally exhausting but is always worth fighting for. Because these kids didn't choose this life and because they deserve to see parents who respect one another.  And because of these kids, we are able to come together and co exist as humans that love these children something fierce.

"The best security blanket a child can have is parents who respect each other." - Jane Blaustone

Thanks for reading today, friends! Enjoy your weekend and remember to shop for your littles during the Presidents Day Sale- beginning now! XOXO

  4. Great pictures and picks. I used to love Gymboree when the girls were younger and find it difficult to find stuff for my tween that are appropriate. We've had great luck with the Material Girl and Jessica Simpson lines.
